The main purpose of this program is to introduce the sport of golf to children in a fun and active atmosphere where children are both learning how to play golf and developing the necessary fundamental skills to become not only good golfers but also great athletes.
This program is based on the American system "Titleist Performance Institute" also known as TPI which emphasizes the importance of the physical development before introducing the specialization of a sport, in this case, golf.
For this reason, TPI believes that all Junior Golf Schools must develop athletes first, create competitive golfers second and produce a love for the game along the way.
Fundamental movement skills are a specific set of skills that involve different body parts such as feet, legs, trunk, head, arms and hands. These skills are the “building blocks” for more complex and specialised skills that children will need throughout their lives. It is important to work on developing these skills in order to be able to competently participate in different games, sports and recreational activities.
Our activities are focused on improving the children's balance, agility, core strength, hand-eye coordination, foot-eye coordination, speed, change of direction and flexibility. The children develop these fundamental skills through activities that involves kicking, stricking, throwing, jumping, push/pull, catching, jumping, etc.
All the activites we do in this training are related to Golf in a direct or indirect way.
